Is it just me or does 2010 seem to be flying by? It wasn’t that long ago that I updated my Race Schedule page with the Colchester Half-Marathon, a race I thought might be possible at the time, but now seems a bit too aggressive. For now the race will stay on the list just in case my next few weeks of running go really well, but the 10.5 miler at the end of March is probably more realistic for the first race of the year. Anyways, the fact that the Colchester Half-Marathon might be a no-go hasn’t stopped me from looking ahead in the future and potentially scheduling the first marathon of my running career. The Hartford Marathon is in October and if I have at least two half-marathons already under my belt for the year, it seems to be a reasonable enough goal. From what I can tell it’s a pretty big marathon, with 2,300 people competing last year, so there should be plenty of people to draft off of!
